About the Job
The selected Software Engineer will work with Cisco’s Secure Common Services Platform Engineering team. The team develops foundational services used across Cisco Security products.

Job Responsibilities

- Designing and developing core components of Cisco’s Common Services Platform.

- Participating in sprint and quarterly planning.
- Collaborating with different engineering teams to deliver end-to-end functionality.

- Contributing to system design and implementation.
- Maintaining high-quality and timely software delivery.
- Mentoring engineering peers and interns.

Educational Qualification
Candidates must meet one of the following educational and experience combinations:
- Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of related experience, or
- Master’s degree + 3 years of related experience, or
- PhD + 0 years of related experience in designing, developing, and deploying enterprise software in production environments.
Required Skills and Experience
Candidates should have relevant experience in cloud-native software development and enterprise applications.
The key requirements include:
Programming & Cloud Technologies
- 3+ years of experience developing, deploying, and managing large-scale cloud-native web applications and microservices.
- Strong experience with Golang.
- Experience with Terraform.
- Experience with serverless and cloud technologies such as:
- AWS Lambda
- AWS AppSync
- AWS ECS/EKS
Database Technologies
Candidates should have experience working with:
- SQL
- PostgreSQL
- NoSQL
- Amazon DynamoDB
Event-Driven Systems
The job requires at least 1 year of experience building event-driven systems using technologies such as:
