About the Job
Deloitte is looking for an experienced AI Engineer to help build agentic AI solutions powered by Anthropic’s Claude models.
The selected candidate will work on Generative AI applications, multi-agent systems, AI automation, agent orchestration and enterprise AI integrations. The role also involves working with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and the Claude Agent SDK.
The engineer will be involved in projects from initial design and prototyping through testing and production deployment.
Job Responsibilities
The major responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing Generative AI and agentic AI solutions using Anthropic Claude.
- Building agent orchestration and tool integrations.
- Developing Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations.
- Working with the Claude Agent SDK and Claude Cowork.
- Delivering AI solutions from proof of concept through production deployment.
- Leading small teams during requirements gathering and functional design.
- Developing process maps and support-model definitions.
- Providing technical direction during client engagements.
- Monitoring project progress and identifying potential delivery issues.
- Identifying project risks, assumptions and constraints.
- Developing appropriate solutions to address technical challenges.
- Communicating with client stakeholders and Deloitte engagement leadership.
- Supporting the development of multi-agent AI systems.
- Implementing AI-powered automation and enterprise workflows.
- Working on AI evaluation, reliability and safety controls.
Educational Qualification
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
- Computer Science
- Engineering
- Data Science
- Artificial Intelligence
- A related technical field
Experience Required
Candidates should have 3+ years of experience designing, developing and delivering AI/ML solutions.
In addition, the job requires:
- 2+ years of Python development experience
- 1+ year of direct Agentic AI experience
- 6+ months of Claude Agent SDK experience
- 6+ months of experience developing and deploying solutions using Anthropic Claude
- 1+ year of experience leading project workstreams or engagements
Agentic AI Experience
Candidates should have hands-on experience designing or implementing production agentic workflows involving areas such as:
- Agent orchestration
- Tool integration
- State management
- AI evaluation
- Guardrails
- Human-in-the-loop controls
Experience with multi-agent systems and enterprise AI automation is also relevant to this position.
Anthropic Claude Experience
The position specifically requires experience working with Anthropic Claude models.
Candidates should have experience with:

Salary
The advertised annual salary range for this position is:
$91,100 – $179,500 per year
The actual compensation may vary depending on factors such as skills, experience, training, certifications, location and other employment considerations.
The position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to applicable company policies.
